After recognizing a gap in the marketfor an app that helps the younger generation budget in a way that sticksand provides them with incentive, a team of four including myself created the idea for Coin Control, a gamified budgeting app. We did 1 expert interview, 8 user interviewsand created a survey that garnered 45 responses in which we learned a lot of young people today don’t feel confident in taking care of their finances. Through allof this research, we designed the app with this in mind, including a learning libraryand a travel game that allows you to movecross country as you hit your budget goals.
